RedoxMaster® has been decided to be introduced by Yamagata Foods and JA Aoren as a subsidised product under the Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ Emergency Project to Improve Feed Self-sufficiency.

“The Emergency Feed Self-sufficiency Project” of the Japanese government aims to improve Japan’s feed self-sufficiency and strengthen its feed production infrastructure by expanding the production and sale of feed in Japan, enhancing feed production organisations, and taking other measures. With international feed prices soaring, improving feed self-sufficiency is an urgent task for the Japanese Government, as the Japanese livestock industry relies on imports for most of its feed.

In the 2024 budget, it was decided that Yamagata Foods (Yamagata Prefecture) and Japan Agriculture Aoren (Aomori Prefecture), which produce apple juice, will receive half of the purchase price of the Redox Master from this subsidy. This is because JA Aoren’s RedoxMaster®, one of which has already been installed in 2019, has been operating trouble-free, demonstrating that the machine is being used to produce high-quality Wagyu cattle in the region as functional feed for cattle from dried apple juice dregs. (See JA Aoren news via this link).

In this way, RedoxMaster® has created significant value by promoting the circular economy in both the private and public sectors. Per the United Nations, it is projected that food production will need to increase by 70% by 2050 to address global needs adequately. Glencal Technology Co., Ltd. collaborates with industry stakeholders, agricultural authorities, and government regulators to formulate enhanced policies and strategies that enable the agricultural sector to transcend national constraints. This proactive approach accommodates escalating food demands, counteract the depletion of natural resources, and mitigate the strain on global supply chains.
