President and Representative Director
Mr. Masahito NAKAISHI

He graduated from Sophia University, Faculty of Law, Department of International Relations Law, and worked as a trader of interest rate derivatives at HSBC (Hong Kong and Shanghai) Banking Corporation. After working in HSBC’s private banking, he established Glencal Co. Ltd. in 2002, focusing mainly on self-funded investments, IPO support, and M&A arrangements.

In 2013, he established an environmental company in Australia with a local partner, which was voted ‘2nd fastest growing start-up company in 2013’ by BRW magazine, the regional economic magazine. In the same year, he founded Glencal Technology Ltd, which specialises in technology. He is responsible for technology development and overall management at the company.
His university major was international law, but he discovered his interest in mathematics and physics while studying financial engineering and mathematics for pricing derivatives products as a trader. His interest in mathematics and physics then led to the development of Glencal Technology’s quantum-based technology, which he continues to research daily to ensure that plasma technology can be used effectively for the benefit of the globe.

Director
Ms. Masumi MAENO

Ms. Maeno started her career as an interest rate trade at the Long-Term Credit Bank of Japan (current Shinsei Bank) after she earned BA in Chinese Studies at Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. She was given a Master of science in Global Politics by London School of Economics and Political Science. She met Mr Nakaishi and Mr Kitasato when she was working at HSBC Tokyo as a trader and set up Glencal Co., Ltd. with them in 2002. At Glencal she has been engaged in international M&A advisory businesses, investment and consulting in environmental businesses. In 2013, she set up Glencal Technology Co., Ltd with Mr Nakaishi and assumed the job on director. She is responsible for exports/imports, marketing, market analysis, management and PR.
